The Lindstrom Library gladly accepts donated books and library materials, with the understanding that the library may sell materials that cannot be used in the collection at the used book sale in the spring. We cannot promise we will add donated books to our collection. The Birthday Book Club
You are invited to join the CLA Lindstrom Library Birthday Book Club!
What is the Birthday Book Club?
The Birthday Club is a way to help celebrate your child’s birthday by donating a book in their
honor to the CLA library. This is a wonderful way for us to demonstrate to our children how
we can impact future generations at CLA.
To join the Birthday Book Club:
• Choose a book from the Birthday Book Club selection notebook on display in
the library, or go to the Christian Liberty Academy Wish List on Amazon.com to select
a book. Go to www.amazon.com and type in Christian Liberty Library in the search.
• Print and fill out the downloadable form (also available in the library).
• Submit your payment along with the form to the library staff. Please allow at least
two weeks before your child’s birthday.
When your book arrives,
• A personalized bookplate label with your name will be included in the book.
• Your picture will be taken with your book and included in the Birthday Book
Album.
• You will be the first to check out your book. Once returned it will be added to
the CLA library collection for students to enjoy for years to come.
• You will be recognized in the Library Newsletter.
• Your donation inspires and encourages others to do the same.
Give your child a birthday gift that can be opened time and time again!
Honorariums and memorials are also welcome…a teacher’s birthday, a special person at
Christmas, or to honor a special event.
Return your form with payment to the library at least
two weeks before your child’s birthday. Book prices range from about $3.99 to $25.00.
Your book donation is tax deductible.
Thanks for your support of our library!
The Paul D. Lindstrom Library

Welcome to our library, named after our founder and pastor, the late Dr. Paul Lindstrom. Pastor Paul, as he was fondly called by all who knew and loved him, was an avid reader and collector of books so it is appropriate that our library is named after him. Our library was beautifully renovated in 2006 and we invite you to visit and use our wonderful facility.

Special tribute to our first librarian,
Mrs. Margaret Haganow

Margaret Hagenow retired after working at CLA for 16 years in the library. Her first two years she volunteered and in subsequent years refused raises, preferring to continue at the same pay rate.
She was instrumental in developing our library using a mix of books, some left by District 214 when they vacated the building, many donated by Christian friends, and some purchased new.
Margaret's dream was to computerize the library and to that end she purchased and implemented a computer system which was superseded by a new system more compatible with the CLA networking philosophy.
Margaret wore many hats as a librarian. She checked books in and out, she organized the layout of the room, she tutored children who needed help, she acted as study hall monitor and supervised student help in the library. Truly she possesses a wealth of information and experience.
Margaret's love for the children was apparent and manifested in her many acts of kindness toward children of all ages. She was a strict disciplinarian, and needed to be with all the many goings on in her working life.
She recently retired from CLA to spend more time with her ailing husband, and with her several grandchildren. She enjoys fishing and camping and continues to pursue that activity with friends. Even though retired, she may be found in the halls of CLA, donating her time and helping with odd jobs in the art department.
Truly her heart is with children, with CLA, and with teaching. Her cheery smile will be missed.
Thank you, Margaret, for your many years of faithful service to our Lord, through your work here at Christian Liberty Academy.
